We were honored to attend the recent Mississippi Defense Symposium hosted by Senator Roger Wicker, facilitated by the Mississippi Enterprise for Technology (MSET), and held at ERDCWERX in Vicksburg, Miss.
Dr. Dylan Temple, Director of Technology Development (pictured), and Mr. George Nickolopoulos, Director of Strategic Partnerships, joined a roundtable discussion with leaders from the Department of Defense (DoD), Congress, industry and academia, to discuss how, collaboratively, mission critical technology solutions can be developed and fielded faster and more efficiently.
The Integer team was pleased to hear positive feedback on our current programs and discuss ways to advance future programs.
“As an innovative small business, our aim is to transition technology across the ‘valley of death’ and move from research to technology in the field as rapidly as possible,” said Dr. Temple. “In order to better understand the problems that we’re trying to solve, direct access to the warfighter and operational teams is critical."
With our focus on uncrewed vessels in maritime domains, Integer has established partnerships with top tier research universities along the Gulf Coast, including the The University of Southern Mississippi.
“Mississippi has an extraordinary, and growing, defense innovation ecosystem, which we are proud to be part of. Being invited to join the roundtable was an honor and provided us the opportunity to have meaningful conversations with senior-level leadership across the DoD Research and Engineering enterprise,” said Nickolopoulos.
The Integer team looks forward to continued collaboration with the Gulf Coast community, including Davis Pace at Aerospace & Defense Alliance of Mississippi (ADAM) and William Cork at Mississippi Development Authority, as we work together to develop technology that keeps our nation safe.
